Course Description

Students will be involved with outpatient care in the Ophthalmology clinic under the supervision of attending physicians. They will be responsible for observing and learning the tests needed during an eye exam, following the physicians during their clinic hours, and attendance at the departmental educational lecture series. The rotation will be one month and the objectives are to learn about the thorough patient evaluation, including an eye exam, any eye tests needed, and formulating a differential diagnosis. There is a maximum of 1 student per rotation.

The University of Florida Eye Institute in Jacksonville has a 3 year ophthalmology residency.
